Founded on April 27th, 1961 with only twenty employees, we started extracting juices and producing nectars. Out first finished product was a 350ml can of apple juice with no lithography, labeled with the Frugo logo.
1974
With advent of the moon landing, we changed our brand identity and started using the slogan “Jumex, the drink of the future”, represented by a doll sitting on a juice can flying into space.
1979
Our Jumex factory acquiring an evaporating machine, marked a major technological breakthrough for Jumex in the preservation of perishable products.
1979
This new image gave a more “natural feel”to the brand’s image and packaging. At first it was only a campaign character, and little by little it became an icon of the brand that everyone now recognizes and loves.
1982
Twenty one years later after being founded, we took a huge step towards becoming a global brand and started exporting our products to the United States.
1984
We launched the new 1L glass bottle presentation featuring apple, grape, orange, grapefruit and tomato juices and nectars. Five years later, the 250ml bottle was presented.
1990
The 1990s represent a series of ambitious milestones and achievements for Jumex. First, launching the 1L Tetra Brik in 1990, and four years later, replacing and redesigning our most iconic can, changing it from its original 350ml presentation to an innovative 335ml..

Jumex’s futuristic vision of giving the consumer the best packaging continues by being the first to launch the “bottle can”, the best of two worlds.
